I'm curious to see how many linguists we have on the zone. Everyone could continue the thread, writing their post in a language they know that hasn't already been listed. How long have they done it, are they a native speaker, ETc ETC. Say what ya like, and let's see how many langs we can build up, as well as see who can guess which language is being spoken by another user. I shall start, the next person can guess the lang. It can be more difficult than it sounds.

je prends ce langue pour plus que 6 ans maintenant. Je crois pas que ce soit quelque chose incroyablement difficile, mais, la gramaire peut-être un problème de temps en temps. Je veux entrer la domaine des langues dans l'avenir, comme interprêt. Je sais que j'écris très mal, mais, l'écriture et moi ne se sont sentendez pas.
Quel est le langue?

Fabolous, si tu veux entrer dans la domaine des langues a l'avenir, il eszt necessaire que tu saches comment former le temps parfait d'un verbe reflexif comme le verbe s'entendre. Par exemple, l'ecriture et moi ne nous sommes jamais entendus. Vous voyez, alors, la difference? Moi, je commencai mes etudes de Francais quand j'avais onze ans, et en 2003 j'obtenus le certificat de droit francais, qui fut une matiere y compris dans ma license de droit at francais, que j'etudiai a l'universite d'Oxford entre 2000 et 2004. Notez bien mon utilisation du passe simple pendant ce discours bref.

ok peeps lets get the topic back on topic ... hoewel ek in Engelland gebore is het ek in Suid Afrika grootgeword. Toe ek 9 jaar oud is het ek na 'n afrikaans sprekende skool toe gegaan, en daarom kan ek nou flot afrikaans praat. Ongelukkig praat nie baie mense hier in Engelland Afrikaans nie, en daarom kry ek nie veel geleentheid om om dit te praat nie.

Lawlord, merci bien pour vos corrections. Je reconnais que j'ai des problèmes avec le français et ça c'est la raison pour faire des topiques comme celui-là. En ce qui concerne votre contribution, j'ai pas compris vos conjugations comme, "j'etudiai" et "je commençai". Est-ce que vous pouvez m'expliquer pourquoi on utilise pas l'imparfait, je commençais, ou, quoi, ou est-ce que j'ai mal compris tout a fait? merci.

Je te remercie de votre reponse, Fabolous. quant aux raisons et explications, ce sont les suivantes: les conjugations qui se trouvent ci-dessus, ce sont des instances de l'utilisation ddu temps qu'on appelle le passe simple. Alors, quand on est en train de raconter une histoire, une narrative, quelque chose comme cela, il est plus sophistique de s'en servir, au lieu du passe compose, qui est moins chic. autrement dit, si on veux ecrire la francaise de la meilleur qualite, il vaut mieu dire 'je commencai' plus tot que 'j'ai commence', et egalement 'on lui refusa une enterrement' au lieu du formule 'on lui a refuse un enterrement'. Pourquoi n'utilise-t-on pas l'imparfait? la reponse c'est que l'imparfait est utiliser pour qu'on puisse decrire une situation, un status, une evennement qui etait an train pendant une periode substantielle. c'est pas utilise dans le cas d'une evennement finale, determinative, isolee. alors, par exemple, 'Quand le telephone a sonne, Jean etait dans la cuisine. Il faisait de la vaisselle'. Tu vois la difference? J'espere que lesdits conseils t'assisteront.

hahahahah in my language, there isn't just one word for peace... It's really a string of words describing the element of peace. But if you wanna say "I love you," it's "kuv hlub koj." (It's not pronounced the way it's spelled.)

The word for peace in Arabic is salaam and the pronunciation for I love you is Ahebb buk. Peace in Hebrew is Shaalaam I believe, and I do not know I love you? Peace in French is paix, and I love you is Je t'aime. I do not know peace in Spanish, but I love you is Te amo generally speaking. Latino82, can you tell me?

Je suis désolée de dire que bien que mon françaissoit ma langue la plus forte, je ne suis pass courante. Je peux parler l'espagnol, un peu d'allemand, et très peu de grec modern. Non, je n'utilise pas le passé simple puisque je ne l'étudiai guère. Je voudrais m'excuser pour des erreurs de grammaire s'il y en a. Como decí antes, puedo hablar español, pero no lo domino. Lo estudio pero tengo muchos problemas a causa de no haber visatado un país que habla español. Auch kann ich ein wenig Deutsch sprechen, aber es ist nicht sehr gut. kai, ksero liga ellinika alla einai kaka. Thelo na ta mathaino.
